Las Vegas Fun
Las Vegas is one of those places that has a very distinctive style. As well as all of the glitzy, sparkly and (sometimes) garish colour of the casinos Las Vegas offers lots of great cuisine, the biggest rollercoaster in the world and of course the magnificent natural beauty and amazing sights of the Grand Canyon and it’s surrounding area.
If you are only in this busy city for a short period of time try to catch some of the following attractions as they are some of the most popular:
The Grand Canyon:
As mentioned above, the Grand Canyon is a special experience unlike anywhere else on the planet. The area offers stunning views, in which you can take advantage of the picnic areas for a lunch with a view! There are also several companies offering helicopter rides across the canyon that last around half an hour and give you an insight that is otherwise unmatched. Be sure you have you passport with you for these trips!
Caesars’ Palace:
If you are going to do any gambling while you are out in the gambling capital of the world - do it in Caesars’ Palace. This is described as the “Mecca” of the gamblers world. The décor, service, people and style incorporated within this hotel is simply not found anywhere else. Be sure you don your Sunday best or you probably won’t get in!
Bull Riders:
Las Vegas is somewhere that you can still witness that all American past time: Bull Riding. The shows are very fun and loud, and importantly, humane. Be sure to check out the other entertainment usually one before and after ranging from other contact sports to fashion shows and mini concerts.
The Desperado:
This is home to the largest roller coaster in the whole of America! The Desperado will cater for plenty of thrills with its 225 foot drop! This is the ultimate thrill seekers destination, and with all the other fun and games theme parks offer surrounding this monster you will have plenty to do in the sunshine.

Two Kauai Beaches
There is so much to say about Kauai and its beaches. Today I will present two of the island’s favorite beaches.
Hideaways Beach
True to its name, Hideaways Beach is a sandy beach hidden on the North Shore of Kauai. This beach is so perfectly secluded that not many people know about it. Listed as one of the 100 best beaches, Hideaways beach’s sparking gold sand strip is perfectly shaped as a half-moon. The sands are large, grainy, and copious. Behind the beach are tall trees that provide massive shade if you want to take a break from the sun.
Hideaways beach is known among Hawaiian locals as Pali Ke Kua. During summertime when the surf is calm, the beach is best for swimming and snorkeling. Watch out for sea turtles which you can occasionally catch dipping up and down the fringed reef.
A rocky outcropping divides the beach into two. When the waters are calm, expert swimmers can actually swim between the two beaches. There are no shower and restroom facilities in the beach. There are no lifeguards either. The Hideaways beach is a ten-minute hike from Princeville Hotel. Before the hotel gatehouse, you’ll find a trail access to the beach. At first, you will be guided by railed stairs, but further down the descent is a dirt trail so be very careful.
Kalihiwai Bay Beach
Located five miles east of Princeville at the north shore of Kalihiwai, the beach offers good swimming and snorkeling conditions. You may also enjoy surfing, body boarding, and sunbathing in the bay. Experienced surfers prefer Kalihiwai over other beach breaks in Kauai. They paddle out to the bay where right-handers go square really quickly. There are no lifeguards stationed at Kalihiwai, so be careful when you tread into the waters. There can be some strong currents and dangerous shore-breaks during the winter.
There are shady and grassy areas in the beach, however, which are great for picnics, rest, and relaxation. You will also find prime areas to play your favorite sports in. There’s enough room for soccer, football, or badminton matches with your family and friends. The beach is also popular among photographers because the rock lava surrounding the beach is truly a precious jewel of photography.
Come to the island of Kauai and discover the beauty of Kauai’s beaches.

Road to the Sea, Big Island of Hawaii
The Road to the Sea, Big Island as the name suggests is 6 miles long wild, jagged and rough road to the sea with a number of secluded beaches that Hawaii is famous for. The drive begins with a tree lined, unpaved road but the scenery changes suddenly after a while with raw lava formations on both sides of the road, which has dreamlike magical quality to it. Frequently you will come across channels of lava that made their way to the sea and also spot big boulders of lava that sit there serenely as though meditating.
It is the perfect drive for a clear day and an adventurous mood; all you require is good four-wheel drive with good ground clearance filled with things for the day out at the beach. The drive is seriously not recommended in your family sedan.
The road is a slow drive with unexpected changes in scenery that keep the excitement going. At the end of the road the sea guarded by beaches in shades green ranging from emerald to olive greet the eye. Hawaiian islands boast of pink, white as well as the green beaches of Big Island, this unusual color comes from gemstones called olivine or peridot, which were thrown up from the seabed by intense volcanic reactions. The Hawaiians even attach spiritual significance to this green sand and if you are lucky the sand may throw up sizable crystals while sifting.
There are numerous trails for hiking that lead to the top of volcanic cones and to a number of secluded beaches along the coast. The sea is great for swimming, snorkeling and surfing in good weather as long as one is aware that the shoreline can drop quickly to great depths.
